Prof. Dr Yang Faridah Binti Abdul Aziz



Deputy Dean of Undergraduate Programme University Malaya

Prof. Dr. Yang Faridah binti Abdul Aziz is the deputy dean of undergraduate programme for University of Malaya (UM). She is an Associate Professor and Cardiac subspecialty coordinator for the Department Of Biomedical Imaging at UM. She started her career in 1992 as a Medical Officer at the Health Ministry of Malaysia.

Her expertise in Radiology has led her to write several articles in the Biomed Imaging Interv, the latest being The boiling frog syndrome: A radiologist’s perspective, (2010). Her internationally-platformed presentations include those presented at the Asia Pacific Congress of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology (2008), 2nd Congress of the Asian Society of Cardiovascular Imaging (2008), International Conference on Health Sciences (2005) and more.

She is currently supervising candidates completing their Doctoral Degree and Masters Degree. She has a total of 25 articles in publication list. It is worth mentioning that Prof. Dr. Yang Faridah binti Abdul Aziz is a recipient of a string of awards such as Excellence Service Award, University Malaya, 2015, (University), Khidmat Setia 20 Award, 2014, Certificate of Excellent Service, University Malaya, 2012, (University), Excellence Service Award, University Malaya, 2011, (University).

She is very active and has been involved in various organisations at national as well as international level. One of them is European society of radiology.
